Merrick began its work in industrial biotechnology in 1995 by designing and implementing an advanced ethanol recovery facility at the MillerCoors Brewery, Golden, CO. Merrick owns and operates this facility today, which transformed a waste remediation problem into a profit center for both companies.

Our project teams have won national and regional awards from American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) and Engineering News-Record (ENR) including the 2017 ACEC Grand conceptor award for the Hydrothermal Piloting Process System; “Oil in Hours; not Millions of Years.”
