Multi-Sensor Data Fusion for Military Defense/Intelligence
As a pioneer in the use of airborne multi-sensor data collection systems, Merrick has the unique ability to provide specialized acquisition approaches that directly support military and intelligence operations. Merrick can integrate up to five (5) highly sensitive sensors into a single data collection platform for use on both fixed-wing and helicopter aircraft.

Merrick’s multi-sensor data collection system can include a LiDAR sensor, high-resolution digital camera, visible + near-infrared (VNIR) and shortwave infrared (SWIR) hyperspectral imagers, a thermal sensor and video camera. All acquisition system components are integrated with an airborne global positioning system (AGPS) and an inertial measurement unit (IMU) to provide accurate coordinates for aircraft position and orientation during the data collection flight. The result of this multi-sensor data collection approach is more accurate elevation and imagery products, which can provide military end-users with significantly improved situational awareness.
