Merrick has the capability and resources to collect airborne hyperspectral imagery from the firm’s multi-sensor data collection platform. This platform typically includes a LiDAR sensor, high resolution digital camera and hyperspectral imager, but the hyperspectal imagery may be collected by itself.  All sensor systems are integrated with an inertial measurement unit (IMU) and airborne global positioning system (AGPS) to provide the most accurate data. Merrick’s Advanced Remote Sensing (MARS®) software suite supports the loading of hyperspectral data, which provides data fusion capabilities with the integration of a LiDAR data set.

Merrick is one of the first commercial geospatial firm in North America to offer a simultaneous, multi-sensor data collection system featuring LiDAR, a hyperspectral imager, and a digital camera.
