Multi-Sensor Data Fusion for Military Defense/Intelligence
As a pioneer in the use of combined, multiple-sensor data collection, Merrick has the unique ability to provide greater accuracy in data collection. For optimum data collection structure and output, Merrick integrates up to five highly accurate data collection systems, with all sensors loaded on to one platform. The systems include Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR), a Digital Airborne Camera System (DACS), VNIR and SWIR hyperspectral imaging sensors and thermal imaging. These systems are supported by a Global Positioning System (GPS) and an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) to provide real-world coordinates for positional accuracy and orientation during the data collection. The outcome to the client is a more accurate data and imagery product and military geospatial technology that allows for precise measurements and interpretation by the end users.
