Merrick & Company Water Practice Leader Brandy Wilson Recognized Among Idaho’s Top Women Leaders

BOISE, IDAHO – August 14, 2026 – Merrick & Company (Merrick) is proud to announce that Brandy M. Wilson, LEED AP O+M, the firm’s water practice leader, has been selected as one of 50 statewide honorees for the 2026 Idaho Business Review Women of the Year Awards. The awards recognize women making a significant impact in the state through professional achievement, leadership, mentorship, and community service.

A lifelong Idahoan and nationally recognized sustainability and water leader, Wilson is honored for a career defined by environmental stewardship, collaborative leadership, and a deep commitment to serving Idaho communities. In her role at Merrick, she leads water initiatives that help communities strengthen infrastructure, improve resilience, restore rivers, and protect natural resources for future generations.

“Brandy exemplifies the kind of leadership that makes a lasting impact,” said Jason Toth, senior vice president and infrastructure engineering business unit leader at Merrick. “She brings together technical expertise, business acumen, and a deep understanding of community needs to help solve some of the most complex water challenges facing communities today. Just as importantly, she is committed to mentoring the next generation of leaders and creating opportunities for others to succeed.”

Wilson’s career spans nearly three decades, including leadership roles in water resources, environmental management, sustainability, and corporate stewardship. Throughout her career, Wilson has championed the idea that environmental and economic goals are not competing interests but interconnected opportunities.

“I’ve always believed that thriving communities and healthy watersheds go hand in hand,” said Wilson. “The most meaningful work happens when people come together around shared goals and create solutions that benefit both the environment and the communities that depend on it. I’m honored to be recognized alongside so many remarkable women who are making a difference across Idaho.”

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Wilson has dedicated countless hours to civic leadership and conservation efforts throughout Idaho. She currently serves as President of the Board of Directors for the Idaho Foundation for Parks and Lands and has held leadership positions with the Idaho Environmental Forum, the Planning and Zoning Commission for the City of Boise, the Barber Pool Action Council, and numerous local planning, conservation, and community organizations. Her volunteer contributions have helped advance open space preservation, conservation funding initiatives, and community-based environmental stewardship efforts across Idaho.

The Idaho Business Review Women of the Year Awards recognize women who demonstrate exceptional leadership in their professions while making meaningful contributions to their communities. This year’s honorees were selected from 124 nominations submitted from across Idaho.
