04.30.19

COLORADO – April 30, 2019 – Merrick & Company, an international engineering, architecture, surveying, and geospatial solutions firm, has acquired the Benham OGC (oil, gas, and chemicals) business from Haskell. The Oklahoma-based Benham OGC group primarily serves operating companies in the mid-continent and gulf coast region. This acquisition greatly expands Merrick’s reach in the upstream, midstream, and downstream markets and adds significant bench strength to our power generation and bioprocessing practice.

“This acquisition strengthens the Merrick Energy & Chemicals team presence throughout the Rocky Mountain, Mid-Continent, Gulf Coast, and Alaska energy markets,” said Christopher Sherry, PE, CEO and President. “Energy is one of Merrick’s four core markets, and this acquisition aligns perfectly with our long-term strategy.”

“We have always held our colleagues in the Benham OGC group in high regard,” said Matthew Knudsen, PE, VP of Energy & Chemicals. “The combined group will continue to execute process intensive capital projects from conceptual design through commissioning. I can’t wait to practice engineering with this crew.”

The Merrick Energy & Chemicals Team provides comprehensive engineering services throughout the project lifecycle. In addition, we provide our clients with total lifecycle cost analysis, asset management, advanced LiDAR capabilities, turnaround engineering, and technology integration.
